My name is Rachel and I was raised in Plano, Texas. I moved to Texas at the age of three from Connecticut where I was born. I was a gymnast for 10 years and a cheerleader for a few after that. I went through some rough times during high school in regards to drugs and depression. I came out on the other side though. I ask myself how I turned into the person I was and every time I seem to come up with a few variations of the same answer. When it comes down to it, I wasn’t fully aware of what I was doing, I was so far gone at one point. While I am definitely no longer using, I am still finding myself. Don’t get me wrong. I had a good childhood it’s just that somewhere along the way, I forgot what I was living for and just started living. I had no sense of purpose, passion, or a desire for a bright future. I awoke everyday and didn’t question what I was doing, who I was doing it for, or how it would change the future for me.
I think there are men and women of all ages who struggle with having a sense of purpose in their life. To wake up and feel motivated for the day is not the easiest to accomplish as many know. This blog will be full of stories and thoughts from how to incorporate motivational positive living into your life to stories of how I learned to change my life. I love reading about how other people are learning to be more motivated and positive in their daily lives so please feel free to share in the comments!
